European Country Offers Scholarships: Indian students aiming to study abroad now have an exciting opportunity: the Republic of Slovenia is offering scholarships for the academic year 2025-26. These scholarships are designed for short-term mobility programs and will be valid from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.

About the Scholarship

The scholarship program by Slovenia provides a duration of up to ten months, targeting Indian students who wish to pursue higher education or research projects internationally. Besides financial support, it also offers a chance to immerse in Slovenia’s rich academic culture and vibrant heritage.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to university/college students, bachelor’s degree holders, and PhD candidates.
Applicants must seek admission to recognized Slovenian higher education institutions.

Age Limit

For this scholarship of the Republic of Slovenia, the age of the student should not be more than 26 years at the time of applying for studies (must not complete 26 years before the end of the scholarship period). However, the age limit for research students is 30 years.

Language Proficiency

When applying to study in the Republic of Slovenia, students must demonstrate proficiency in the Slovenian language, unless otherwise agreed with the mentor or supervisor.

Benefits of scholarship

This scholarship being given to Indian students by Slovenia is very beneficial. In this, students will be given a monthly stipend of 400 euros (subject to review and adjustment from time to time). Not only this, the students’ accommodation, food and drink will be free.

CMEPIUS will provide free accommodation in dormitories and subsidized meals through the Slovenian Student Organization. There will also be basic medical insurance for non-EU students, which will be provided by CMEPIUS.

How to Apply?

The Centre for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes (CMEPIUS) of the Republic of Slovenia will manage the application and evaluation process for this scholarship.
