Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Be a citizen of an MTCP-recipient country
- Age: Not more than 45 years old at the time of application
- Academic Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or Second Class Upper (Honours)
- English Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency through:
- IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 60
- Or have completed previous studies with English as the medium of instruction
- Health: Be in good health and provide a valid medical report
- Admission: Have an offer of admission from a Malaysian university for the September/October 2025 intake

While the MTCP Scholarship covers all disciplines, preference is given to the following priority areas:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Cybersecurity
- Digital Transformation
- Economics
- Engineering, Mathematics, Science, and Technology (STEM)
- Food Security

- Public Administration and Policy
- Sustainability and Environmental Science
Note: Programs in Nursing, Medicine, and Clinical Pharmacy are not eligible for this scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the MTCP Scholarship will receive:
- Tuition Fees: Full coverage of tuition fees
- Monthly Allowance: RM 3,500 (approximately ₹70,000)
- Airfare: One-off return economy-class airline ticket from the student’s home country to Malaysia and back
- Additional Allowances: Including cost of living, visa fee, travel allowance, book allowance, tools allowance, house rental allowance, placement allowance, thesis allowance, practical training allowance, end of study allowance, and medical claims

- Copy of Passport (valid for at least 12 months)
- Academic Transcripts and Certificates
- University Grading Scale/Explanation
- Proof of English Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or official letter)

- Medical Report (valid within 6 months from the date of application)
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Latest Admission Offer Letter or Conditional Offer Letter from a Malaysian university
