1. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship

This scholarship offered by the Government of Israel is available to Indian students applying for MA, Ph.D., post-doctoral, or research studies. This scholarship is available for only one academic year i.e. a maximum of eight months and is subject to the condition that the students should have a BA or BSc or any higher degree.

2. Excellence Fellowship Program for International Postdoctoral Research

This scholarship is offered by the Israel Council for Higher Education and the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities. This scholarship program is open to International Postdoctoral Researchers.

The program covers a maximum of 20 fellowships for post-doctoral students to pursue research at one of Israel’s universities. This fellowship is awarded in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, Humanities and Social Sciences. This scholarship is given for two years.

3. Ph.D. Sandwich Fellowship Program

Funded by the Planning and Budgeting Committee (PBC), this one-year doctoral program allows international Ph.D. students from all fields to conduct research at one of Israel’s top universities as part of doctoral studies.

Interested candidates must apply directly to the respective Israeli university. International students enrolled in a doctoral degree program at an accredited institution of higher education abroad who have completed their first year of doctoral studies can apply for this program.
