Eligibility criteria for MEXT Scholarship India 2023

Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.

Age: For undergraduate studies, applicants must be born between April 2, 1998, and April 1, 2004. For graduate studies, applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1996.

NEET Scholarship Test: 1.25 Crore Scholarship For Class 8 to 12

Academic background: Applicants must have completed their education in English medium throughout and must have a minimum of 65% marks in their previous degree.

Health: Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to study in Japan.

Amount of scholarship

Undergraduate students: Approximately JPY 117,000 per month.
Master’s and research students: Approximately JPY 144,000 per month.
Doctoral students: Approximately JPY 145,000 per month.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, and round-trip airfare.

Application process
