Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme, PM Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS): The Central Government takes all possible steps to educate the children. It runs many schemes at the state level and some at the district level as well. The Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme was started by the Central Government in 2016. Under this scheme, children can take scholarship from the government to do different courses, but for this you need to know many things.

What is Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme?
The benefit of the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme can be given only to those students who are police personnel, paramilitary forces or any of the three forces, their children who were martyred in a terrorist attack. Widow wife gets the benefit of this scheme. Meritorious students can also avail this scheme. Earlier in Jammu and Kashmir, it was decided to discontinue this scheme but later it was extended for five years.
Eligibility
You must have passed 12th from any CBSE school or JKBOSE. JKBOSE is the Jammu and Ladakh government school. Applications come out every year for this.

Scholarship Amount
Girls who take advantage of this scheme will be given Rs. 3000 per month and boys will be given Rs. 2500 per month.
